Contemporary Philosophy, Philosophical Methodology, Philosophy of Language, Rhetoric and Argumentation, Wittgenstein. 

Nuno has been involved in various research projects since 2002. In 2003, he was awarded funding by the European Commission's 5th Framework Programme for the project 'The Peculiarity of Wittgenstein's Philosophical Activity', which he coordinated at the Wittgenstein Archives at the University of Bergen. He currently coordinates at the IFL the FCT-funded project 'Wittgenstein's Philosophical Investigations: Re-Evaluating a Project' in a cooperation with the Wittgenstein Archives. He has also been involved in the organization of a number of international philosophical conferences. He is the executive editor of the IFL book series 'Lisbon Philosophical Studies – Uses of Language in Interdisciplinary Fields', published by Peter Lang, and a member of the Advisory Board of the series 'Aporia', published by Ontos. His international memberships include the Austrian Ludwig Wittgenstein Society, the British Wittgenstein Society and the Nordic Wittgenstein Society.
