My current research project is to develop and investigate models of communication that are based on a reasonable representation of individual discourse participants' beliefs. This involves dealing with formal problems such as belief revision with iterated and graded beliefs, but also requires a thorough examination of contemporary philosophical stances towards non-indexical context-dependency (Bach, Recanati, Stanley, etc.). I'm also interested in argumentation theory, linguistic interfaces, formal epistemology, and other common topics such as epistemic and semantic two-dimensionalism, theories of reference, and referential opacity.
