1. “Últimos Escritos sobre a Filosofia da Psicologia” from Ludwig Wittgenstein, New Edition Portuguese Translation by IFL researchers António Marques, João Tiago Proença and Nuno Venturinha.

Ludwig Wittgenstein was born in Viena in 1889 and died in Cambridge in 1951. Considered by many as the most influent philosopher of the XX century, he is generally associated to several philosophical currents, such as logical positivism, pragmatism, or analytical philosophy in a wider sense. However his work goes beyond the frontiers of any school of thought, whether the method and the problems that privileges or the style, coined between the aphoristic and the permanent Socratic interrogation. Besides his youth work, the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicos (1922), he elaborated since the 30’s what would come to be his second unitary work, the Philosophical Investigations, edited two years after his death. Here he departs from his previous way of thought, especially for the way as he conceives the place of logic and the relation with natural language. The research on the structure of logic in the world gives place to the research on the grammar of natural language and the multiplicity of games of language. The Last Writings on the Philosophy of Psychology is a selection of manuscripts, published in two volumes by Basil Blackwell edited by G. H. von Wright and Heikki Nyman, in 1982 and 1992. It gathers the most significant part of the last reflections that the philosopher registered since 1949 until some days before his death. The reader can not help being surprised by the permanent formulation of new problems, not explored until then, like the experience of the aspect, the relation interior-exterior, the perspective of the first person or the linguistic expression of the experience. In the Last Writings the reader will easily recognise a geniality that aims at, in Wittgenstein’s own words, complete clarity and the definitive philosophical peace.
